Just being involved in the county teams wasn’t enough for five senior and two junior Ormskirk players - they also had to notch up five tries and two man of the match awards!
Sarah Wallbank and Joanna Smith were involved with the U17s who lost 15-0 in a hard fought game. Both Ormskirk girls played well, but Jo (playing out of position in the back row) was handed the man of the match trophy for her tackling.
The story was very different for the senior side who won 58 - 0, with a try for Emma Gander and braces for Jenny Leitch and Anna O’Malley. Emma Gander was awarded the man of the match trophy by the referree for her hard work from the back row both in defence and attack.
