As the season draws to a close we aim to maximise the amount of rugby we can fit into April - as a result this weekend we played on both Saturday & Sunday………………
Saturday 18th April
Malton & Norton visited Green Lane as part of their club tour. They had a big squad in both senses of the word with 22 players and two of the largest U10s I have ever seen! We played 3 full matches to make their long journey worthwhile with Ormskirk winning the first two games 2 -1 then 3 -2 before collapsing to a 5 - 0 defeat in the third as fatigue set in. Top tackler was James Lang. The M & N coaches, supporters and players were all a great bunch resulting in a fantastic morning of rugby.
Sunday 19th April
We played a triangular fixture away @ West Park. West Park started proceedings by beating Widnes 5 - 2. Ormskirk played next and managed to defeat the hosts 3 - 1 in a very good match. In the last match Widnes rallied superbly and opened up a 2 - 0 lead before Ormskirk came back to clinch a superb 3 - 2 victory - something we would not have achieved earlier this season! Top tackler was Dan Frampton.Â

All the under 10s who played over the weekend were great and gave 100% effort - Well done.
