In order to stop the tumble weed blowing across Green Lane this Saturday, the ladies team have invited the combined Preston Grasshoppers and Fleetwood ladies team, known as Floppers, for a social game. Kick off is 2pm. The game will be followed by plenty of drinking, with both teams in fancy dress.
Three Ormskirk players represented Lancashire in this weekend’s fixtures against Northumberland:
Claire Rylance and Sammy Hunter played right & left wing in the senior team’s resounding victory. Sammy scored a try and picked up back of the match for her efforts.
Joanna Smith had a industrious game at flanker in the very close U18’s game that ended […]
Ladies training has now commenced for 2008/09 season.
All players new & old are asked to attend every Tuesday at Green Lane. Please meet at 7.15pm for a 7.30pm start.

Sunday 20th April 2008
Ormskirk Ladies travelled to Vale of Lune 10s tournament on Sunday, and didn’t let the cold and rain spoil their ambition on the pitch to keep the ball the moving. All the players put in their all, despite several niggling injuries throughout the day, that saw several players appearing in positions that […]
ORUFC Ladies did the Club proud by reaching the Plate Final at last weekend’s Vale of Lune tournament, beating Carlisle 15-5.
Well done to everyone…..Photo to follow…………

HEATON MOOR LADIES 15 – 15 ORMSKIRK LADIES
Now their League programme has finished it seems likely that the Ladies will finish 2nd in their Division. Surely a creditable performance after winning promotion to North Challenge 1 just last season? Perhaps so, but a better yardstick would be a close examination of their draws. There […]
On Sunday 6th April the ladies played their final league game of the season away at Heaton Moor. At the end of a very close game the score was 15 all. This leaves Ormskirk second behind an unbeaten Darlington team. However, third placed Fleetwood still have two games to play, and could steal 2nd place… […]
The Ladies’ Lancashire Cup Final game, against Vale of Lune, due to take place on Easter Monday has been postponed.
Our next game is at home against Northwich on Sunday 30th March 2008.
FLEETWOOD WRUFC 17 – 12 ORMSKIRK LADIES
Tom and Jerry, Sherlock Holmes and Moriarty, Adolf Hitler and the Jews – some people just can’t seem to hit it off. And so it is with Ormskirk Ladies and Fleetwood. Ever since Fleetwood played their first game against the Ladies there has been a certain edge to their […]

Close league rivals Ormskirk and Fleetwood met this week in the Lancashire 12-a-side Cup semi-final. Ormskirk were without their regular centre partnership Louise Robinson and captain Emma Gander – so out stepped last week’s flankers Kate Traynor and Kayleigh McDonnell […]
Darlington 17 Ormskirk 7
On the way back from Darlington the bus driver put on a video. It was “Volcano !”, a disaster movie in every sense. In it Tommy Lee Jones attempts to stop a lava flow which wells up in the centre of Los Angeles and save the lives of his daughter and […]

ORMSKIRK LADIES 26 – O LEEDS LEOS WRUFC II
Route One. That was Leo’s plan. They had a solid scrum, a good line out and bugger all imagination. The Leo’s Coaching Manual probably has three pages and was probably written by an ex-forward on three brick walls in emulsion. Page 1 - win ball. […]
