This season the RFU – and Lancashire RFU – have passed on to all Clubs their concerns over abuse of match officials, and the behaviour of players and spectators at all levels of the game.
This mandate came with a strict code of conduct and a set of sanctions if this code was breached.
Our attention has been drawn to several incidents over the past few months which have resulted in this code being broken, and a small group of players/supporters who have unfortunately given Ormskirk RUFC a poor image as far as Lancashire Disciplinary Committee is concerned.
Though we have dealt with these incidents accordingly, we wish to impress on everyone the importance of adhering to the code in question, and not to further tarnish the good name our Club has in Lancashire.
Your co-operation in this matter is vital if we are to ensure that our game is not brought down to the levels of indiscipline some other sports have to endure on a regular basis.
