The Ladies had to dig deep during a rusty performance to take the points off a much improved Collegiate side. With the teams matched for pace and fitness the Ladies had to look to their experienced players to take rare chances and secure possession wherever possible. With regular winger Rachael Cowan still injured it fell to girl of the game Emma Gander and Gail Kendall, both exiled from the back row to the wing, to score the points. But when they forgot they were wingers (as forwards will), prop Lesley Kenny took up the task and crossed twice in the corner.
