Due to a cancelled league fixture the ladies team played a ten aside friendly against Chester University. Ormskirk pleased coach Sam Botfield by playing an expansive game which the inexperienced Chester team found difficult to defend against. Special mentions should go to Emma Gander playing out of position at stand off and second row Gail Kendall on her four tries. The game was only marred by injury to youngster Cara Pendleton.
