Mini/Juniors
Louis Ttofa founded Ormskirk’s Mini & Junior Section in 1991. Since then, under his watchful eye and with careful nurturing and supervision, it has grown into one of the strongest Mini & Junior Sections in Lancashire.
Mini & Junior sides from Ormskirk have won three Lancashire Cups and - in more recent years - the current Under 15s have had three National victories at the home of England Rugby: Twickenham. This team were also voted West Lancashire Team Of The Year for 2004 and 2006 & have become the first Ormskirk side to win back-to-back Lancashire Cups.
Currently the Mini & Junior Section boasts more than 270 playing members from 5 years to 18 years. Training and matches take place on Sunday mornings throughout the rugby season. All players are welcome at any time – whatever their ability level.
Ormskirk are the first club from North Lancashire to have gained RFU Seal Of Approval and Sport England Club Mark Level 3. We also have RFU qualified coaches at every age group to ensure continuity of coaching throughout the club. The Junior section work closely with the Senior section to ensure the future of Rugby Union in Ormskirk has a solid foundation.
