Ormskirk RUFC Coach Development Day… Sunday 20th July 2008
Ormskirk RUFC has announced the latest of their highly popular Coach
Development days - for Sunday 20th July 2008.
The day itself is open to Coaches from any Club and will be delivered by
Phil Leck from Sale Sharks Academy.
Phil Leck will deliver a Coach Education Plan by coaching a group of 25 players, all of whom have played at least District Level rugby, with 16 County Players and 9 who are attached to Sale Sharks.
Coaches are free to ask questions during the session and will be encouraged to do so.
Coaches will not be required to participate as the players will be coached by
Phil so the Coaches attending can observe & take notes, and will be free to observe the delivery and detail of Phil’s drills.

A Variety Of ways to make the warm up fun & meaningful to the session
Player empowered warm up – pros & cons!!
10:45 Kick Off – the options
Kick Off Reception – the options
Taking a kick off, the options & the chase
This will include traditional kick offs & 22 re-starts
11:30 SAQ – Speed, Agility & Quickness
SAQ equipment explained & demonstrated
A variety of SAQ drills explained & demonstrated
12:15 Lunch
13:15 Warm Up
13:30 Attacking Options From The Scrum
A variety of options involving backs & forwards
14:15 Attacking Options From The Lineout
A variety of options involving backs & forwards
15:00 Questions & Evaluation
Places on the course are at a cost of £25, which includes tea & coffee on arrival,
refreshments & lunch.
For those who booked on previous Development Day on 22nd June 2008, there is a discounted rate of £15 per person
