I need to move quickly regarding organising this year’s Presentation Evening. Despite more people helping out doing a few things in and for the Club, this function remains a labour of love for me to get sorted on my own…..
Anyway, the options are:
7th June @ Beaufort
Any saturday in June @ The Comrades Club
October/November @ Green Lane
A few thoughts and pros/cons about these options:
Though the marquee at the Club last October was highly successful and well-received, it is clearly not an ‘End of Season’ do if we hold it again at this time of year…..but it clearly gives me ample time to sort things out……
The Beaufort has been relatively successful in the past - I can still bus people from the Beaufort to the Club to maximise dosh behind our bar, plus it means I don’t have to fanny around with finding caterers and menus, etc……….
Comrades Club is a dark horse. Not 100% sure if it’s THAT suitable for our requirements, plus I would still have to sort catering out. On the plus side it’s within staggering distance of the Club……….
So, please let me know your thoughts? I clearly will not be able to suit everybody’s needs and wishes, and I do have to move on this pretty quickly. With this in mind, e-mail or text me your thoughts/preferences in the next 48 hours if you want your opinion to count! Once this deadline has passed (i.e. Tuesday), I will plump for the most popular and most suitable option and inform you all of this decision asap.
