Yet another splendid morning at Green Lane saw the Under 7s play against not one, but two teams, with great success all round.
Formby Vikings had not arrived by kick off time. Luckily, Hoylake Under 8s had brought almost enough Under 7s players to put a team together and offered to play in their place. We lent them two of our squad - James and Joe and want to thank the boys for playing so well.  Half way through the first match the Vikings arrived and while they warmed up we continued our games against Hoylake. We now have such a large squad that were able to put out two teams today – they shall be known as Squares and Stripes  until better names can be decided upon.

Formby proved to be a more experienced and older side than Hoylake. These were great matches and the scores do not reflect how difficult the games were.

We had a fantastic morning of rugby thanks to Formby and Hoylake, with great support from the touch lines. Well done to all our squad for playing so well! Our next match this Sunday at the Vale of Lune promises to be our biggest challenge of the season – early to bed Saturday please!!!
