The U8s approached the annual Hoylake 7’s on the 29th April with great anticipation as this was their last tournament before moving to “contact” next season. We started brightly with a 4-4 draw against Waterloo who have been too strong for us previously this season followed by a convincing 5-2 win against Ruthin. This left us needing a win against Lymm to top the group and reach the final. Unfortunately it was not to be and we went down 8-5 after a valiant effort. All the boys played with great skill and enthusiasm. All that remains for this season is our presentation next Sunday (6th May) commencing with an exhibition match KO @ 10.30 followed by our presentation and buffet in the clubhouse.
