For our last competitive outing of this season we took all available players (16) to the annual Hoylake 7s. Divided into 2 teams of equal ability the idea was for everybody to get in plently of rugby. The A team failed to progress from their very tough group but the B team topped their group to meet Manchester AÂ in the final, with both Ormskirk teams putting in great performances along the way despite the the appalling weather. By the final playing with just 1 substitute all day had taken it’s toll and Manchester A won 2-0. This was a very strong performance by all the Ormskirk players and the coaching team are very proud of them indeed.
