Under 12s end the year on a high.

Thge under 12s ended 2006 on a real high by convincingly beating New Brighton 63 points to nil on their own ground. The match was barely 5 minutes old when a storming run by Marcus Rylance resulted in the first try of the game. After this the rest of the half was one way traffic with Ormskirk dominating all phases of the game. By half time Ormskirk had rattled up 4 further tries, 2 from Olly Hogan and one apiece for Robert Hall and Robbie Jones. The lads went in at half time 35 points to nil up and were chomping at the bit to get out for the second half.

Ormskirk started where they left off and scored another 4 tries through Pat Lloyd, Tom Povey, Marcus Rylance and Craig Ennis. This week the kicking duties were shared between Michael Lea(6 conversions) and Matthew White(3 Conversions). Although New Brighton fielded a team, they had no substitutes so a big thank-you goes to the lads from Ormskirk who took it in turns to play for the opposition to give one or two of their lads a break. Although the opposition were perhaps not as strong as some of the teams played this season the coaches were pleased at the quality of rugby played by the lads which seems to improve with each passing week. Hopefully the team can come back after the Christmas break and pick up where they have left off at the end of 2006.
