After a long but ultimately rewarding campaign the under 13s played their last game of the season at Green Lane on Sunday. Perhaps it was tiredness creeping in or the thought of a curry later on in the day at the presentation ceremony but whatever it was the lads saved their worst display of the season for the last game. Sandbach, who we pushed close in two other games this season, gave Ormskirk a real lesson in well controlled rugby and eased away to a convincing sixty one points to nil victory in the rain and mud. Hopefully the lads will return refreshed after their summer break and carry on with the progress we have seen this season.
