Ormskirk under 15s played Sedgley Park on Sunday 6th april at Manchester Rugby Club. The team were really up for the game as were the fantastic parents in support. The match started well with the team offence and defence being second to none. Ormskirk scored the first try with flying winger Conor Macrae scoring in the corner, making the score 5-0, after some great defensive work by the entire team.
Sedgley got lucky with a decision making the score 5-5 at halftime. The second half started well for Ormskirk, Josh Pendlebury scoring a great try after some good work by the Ormskirk pack. Oliver Griffiths then converted the try with a fantastic kick, to make the score 12-5. With 10 minutes left Sedgley scored in the corner to make the score 12-10 to Ormskirk, with the game going into injury time and Ormskirk thinking they had done enough, the referee gave Sedgley a penalty. They decided to kick to win the game, with great relief they missed and the referee blew the final whistle to lift the cup for an amazing day out and well deserved win by a very hard working squad.

What a fantastic day, the boys really deserved the win despite various comments by onlookers! The boys have really come together over the past twelve months due to the hard work & dedication from Dave, Lewis, Wayne & Tom, not to mention the boys themselves. The smiles did not leave their faces all the way home. Well done!
