Under 16 Supermen!

Posted by: Monty on Wednesday, May 7th, 2008

Tears were shed. Shandies were drunk. Champagne was sprayed. The Under 16 team who had won three Lancashire Cups prior to this season made it four in a row after beating Hoppers on their own patch last Saturday. Played as a curtain raiser to a Senior County game, the ‘kirk boys mad every parent, coach and supporter proud to be associated with this phenomenal bunch of talented players. Many will be moving on to pastures new - Sale, North of England, the National squad - but there were will be lads who we will surely see enter the senior ranks next season and bring a fresh injection of youth and exuberance into the four senior mens teams.

All sections of the Club were on hand to witness this historic performance, and the lads didn’t let anyone down. Strength, speed, determination, skill, a great teamwork ethic - all attributes amply demonstrated by Ormskirk on a sun-drenched afternoon.

Full report to follow - but a MASSIVE well done to everyone involved with this squad….
