Fun was the order of the day, and what a pleasure it was to be able to bask in the glorious sun while our little darlings enjoyed themselves.
After numerous competitions and games it was time for the children to have a rest and enjoy the parents main event of the day – the Mums and Dads Tag Tournament. Boy did they enter into the spirit of things! Despite the rules being spelt out to all participants it became clear from the start that this would be a battle to the end, and every dirty trick in the book would be employed! With three teams competing for glory it was all out war, with no allowances made for the gentler players. We saw daring dives (Alex – what happened to your bad back?), handy handing off (Dave G – you should know better!), frequent forward passes (Allan – shame on you!) and a general blatant disregard for the rules!! Nevertheless it was excellent fun enjoyed by competitors and spectators alike and we promise to organise another event soon.
After a short break we began our presentation. We have been delighted with everyone’s progress and commitment this season. All the squad received a participation trophy with special awards given to
