The under 7s travelled to Lymm with determination and courage despite memories of last year’s thrashing. Lymm are an incredibly strong, competitive and driven side, however Ormskirk’s mighty gang of boys and girls were ready for the challenge. Congratulations to you all for your excellent performance thoughout the morning (Nadia, Alex L, Alex G, Paul, Jack, Nathan, Rahul, Tom, Will, Morgan).
Lymm’s pitch was very narrow but the Ormskirk gang soon got used to it and tagged brilliantly. This was an evenly matched game throughout. Game 1 was a draw 5 all. Morgan ‘Dodger’ Rees scored 3 and Will ‘Lightening’ Johnson 2 .
Game 2 was far more agressive, even though Lymm had reassured us that they were playing their best side in the first game. Determined to improve on the previous result Ormkskirk secured a win. Try scorers were Paul ‘Power House’ Chinn (1), Alex ‘The Swerver’ Gaughan (2) and Morgan The Dodger(1).
Lymm fielded another strong side for the third and final game which was again a draw 6 all. Jack ‘The Conqueror’ Brennan scored his first away try and boy did we need it! Special mention must also be made of Will ‘Lightening Johnson’ who scored 5 tries in this game - go get em boy!!
