Despite valiant efforts all round, it was not to be the Under 8’s day! In a tough group they lost the first game to an aggressive Lymm, won the second against Widnes and in the deciding third game, lost by one try to Blackburn. Had our troopers won this last game they would have made it through to the semi finals, and who knows what might have happened……. but never mind!
In true Ormskirk spirirt we made a day of it with a gazebo, BBQ, wine and guiness (adults only of course) and other delights. The squad played some fab rugby but huge lessons have been learned all round. Manchester made us feel most welcome and we look forward to next year’s tournament.
