Ever since the Christmas break the ladies team have been chomping at the bit to get back on the pitch. However they have been prevented from continuing their run of good results with 3 games called off in the space of 2 weeks.Â
Bolton called off on Sunday 14th January due to their waterlogged pitches. Then Fleetwood called off this weeks league fixture due to a lack of players. Then a hastily arranged friendly fixture with Rossendale was also cancelled due to waterlogged pitches.Â
The ladies team are hopeful that their fixture for the coming week (away at Manchester) does not suffer the same fate.
Both the Bolton & Fleetwood fixtures will be rearranged before the end of the season - details to follow.Â
Thanks to the ladies who turned out for training in place of this weeks fixture.
